At Notary Public NJ, we strive to provide professional, reliable, and timely notary services. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines how cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds are handled for our services.
Appointment Cancellations

Client-Initiated Cancellations
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will not incur a cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service fee.

No-Shows
- If you fail to attend a confirmed appointment without prior notice, the full service fee will be charged and is non-refundable.
- Appointments may be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance without penalty.
- Reschedule requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment may incur a rescheduling fee.
- We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., emergencies, inclement weather, technical issues). In such cases, no additional fees will apply.
Refunds

Completed Services
- Notary fees are for services rendered and are non-refundable once a notarization is completed, regardless of whether the notarized document is later rejected by a third party.

Travel Fees / Mobile Notary Services
- Travel fees are non-refundable once the notary has departed for the appointment location.

Service Errors
- If an error is made by our notary (e.g., improper notarization), we will correct the error at no additional charge.

Prepaid Services
- Refunds for prepaid services will only be issued if the service has not been performed and cancellation was made in accordance with this policy.
- Loan signings, apostille processing, and remote online notarization (RON) may be subject to separate contracts or cancellation terms provided at the time of booking.
- Any deposits collected for these services are generally non-refundable once work has begun (e.g., travel, document preparation, or filing).
